STILL catching up!

Austin's letter to Santa. Thanks Grandma for helping!

Christmas Eve included some Guitar Hero: World Tour. Lots of fun! Was so great having all my family here this year, especially since we finished the basement a month before and now have room for everyone! Mom really enjoyed playing bass and was really good at it! Austin took a try at the drums and had a lot of fun.

Austin was once again spoiled this year! He got so many great gifts and really enjoyed opening all his presents.

Christmas day this year we just stayed home which was wonderful! John and Mom cooked a delicious turkey and we all just had a casual relaxing day. I love Christmas...even though I ALWAYS eat way too much chocolate and pay for it later!

Boxing Day this year we spent it at Grandma & Grandpa Lindquist's which was really great. Austin always loves spending time with Krisitn and Kaiden and Grandma always cooks the most amazing roast beef dinner. Nobody cooks it better!! Was great to be surrounded by family on the holidays.

Some pics of my family....I love you guys!!!

Had to include a collage of Austin playing with his new Tinker Toys that he got for Christmas from his Grandpa & Grandma Pearson. He absolutely LOVES them. What a lucky little boy!

Still catching up!

Dec. 12/08
Ok, so my Mom gave me a pail of sugar cookie dough this year so Austin and I decided to give it a try...I'm truly not much of a baker. The first batch didn't turn out so well, but we had fun making them! The second batch we pretty good so we iced a few, tried 'em out and mmm mmm good. I love sugar cookies! Austin had a few bites but is more of a chocolate kind of guy unlike his Daddy who hates sweets. Needless to say I ate most of the cookies and then made myself throw them away before I could eat every last one of them!

Christmas crafts are oh so fun!! On this day we made Christmas cards for the family. Next year I'm hoping to be more in the Christmas spirit and get started on this earlier. It was a lot of fun!

Decorating our gingerbread house this year was a lot of fun. I was able to step back and let Austin have free reign and he did a really great job. Pretty sure more candy ended up in his tummy than on the house, but hey, it's Christmas!

CPS Kids' Christmas Party Dec. 7, 2008

CPA Kids' Christmas Party Dec. 6, 2008
So Austin had 2 Christmas Parties to go to through John's work in one weekend. He was very brave and actually excited this year to sit on Santa's knee (although you can't tell by the pics) and tell him what he wanted for Christmas...Loft and Roley from Bob the Builder. Of course my child had to pick two toys that aren't even sold anymore! Thank you EBAY! We were sweating for a bit but finally found them, thank goodness! Back to the parties...they always give out really great gifts but our hearts broke when Austin opened his gift and started crying...a heartbroken cry...he thought he was getting Lofty and Roley! Poor little guy. After some explanation he was very happy with his Little People Spin and Crash (or something like that). After that moment we knew that we had to do our best to find Lofty and Roley.
